Rajasthan

Rajasthan is a state located in the northwestern region of India. Geographically, Rajasthan is characterised by the vast Thar Desert, the Aravalli mountain range, and a mix of fertile plains and semi-arid regions.

Rajasthan has a population of over 80 million and an area of 342,239 km² (132,139 sq mi). Its capital is Jaipur, and other major cities include Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Kota. Known historically as the land of kings, Rajasthan has a rich cultural heritage, with forts, palaces, and traditional arts reflecting its long history of Rajput rule and regional prominence.
